Going to the Paul Smith exhibition 2 weeks on Saturday, My uncle is paying so I've said I'll find somewhere to eat and foot that bill....

Anywhere nearby that's a bit different/authentic?

Not got a clue. I sort of remember someone on here posting about a barbeque type place and im 90% sure that was near Tower Bridge....

Any advice lads?

Lahore Kebab House isn't a million miles away.

Manze's P&M on Tower Bridge Rd, beautiful.

If you actually want a decent meal down there I'd suggest crossing the water and going up into shoreditch or trying Brick Lane. As for BBQ, there's a Bodean's near there, but not sure what it's like.

Tayyabs is not bad.
Mainly eat Aloo Parata in the morning there if I'm in that area.
Across the road from Tayyabs is Maida Grill, excellant Turkish Food.
Always good service in there, knowing the family that own it has its benefits.
