It has to happen in 90 days or Froch will be stripped of the IBF belt. Froch reckons he doesn't want to go over old ground but he had a re-match with Kessler and wants one with Ward.

Groves made the appeal to the IBF. It's clear he wants the rematch, he has been going on about it ever since the fight. He turned down the first offer because he wasn't happy with the terms.
He turned first offer down as he knew the ibf could demand a re-match. As for fighting ward there's no point as CF would get beat real easy and Andre ward don't sell tickets in the US and probably not in the uk

Yeah, Ward beats Froch easy again and with little entertainment.
As a mandatory IBF challenger outside the top three Groves is entitled to 15%. He was offered more than that before the IBF stepped in and turned it down. I think Froch is after one last big fight in the states but he knows at home we all want to see the rematch with Groves.
Whilst I agree with you on the Ward fight lacking entertainment value if Froch is to be regarded as pound for pound the best fighter in his division he needs to wipe out all those that oppose him. He beat Kessler in a rematch, so why not a rematch with Ward? You never saw great warriors back in the day, such as Benn duck a fight, it shouldn't be just about the money.

Not questioning Froch at all T, on the contrary, he'll fight anyone and in that respect is different to a lot of modern fighters but his style is made for Ward. Their first fight was dull and one-sided and I fear it'd be the same again.
