Ok here we go..... i saw these in a magazine and liked the unusual pocket details.....ended up phoning Howies and they sourced a pair for me...cost me £80 ....a lovely chocolate brown in colour.....they were a wide leg and were a loose fit 38R so i had the waist taken in and the legs tapered at Star Stitch in Glasgow....BUT.....the cnuts had an off day and tailored them to a different set of measurements than the ones i gave the wee polish git who done them.....the work itself is excellent and theyre in superb nick as ive unfortunately never been able to wear them...i asked for an 8 inch hem but they are actually 7.5...the legs have been tapered well and measure 31 to the very end...them hems are rough so the wearer would be someone who normally gets a 30 leg...a slim fit you might say and look quite nice with a pair of boots...more of a chino look :) ......the waist is now about 18.5-19 across laid flat so theyre a true 38 and no more........... what with the cost of the breeks and the work done to them ive laid out more than a tonne on these bastards.....but they dont fit............. if theyll do someone on here a turn then they can have them for £25 delivered ............theyre a quality cloth and will wear well......bnwot essentially......... gutted they dont fit............any qs pm me.
I understand the feeling of tailoring gone wrong. Took a pair of trousers to take the hem down by an inch. Ended up loosing an inch! Too short to wear!!
