Might well just be me, but seems as though there's the odd thread every now and then, but that's about it .. Same people, just re-churning old stuff that's been said so many times before .. Remember posters like Squarepusher posting great photos , bit of interest .. Good threads on clothes, upcoming collections .. Even posters who used to be on here a lot don't seem to bother , myself included .. Is it down to more sites like Instagram , or blogs that people have an interest in ? Or has it run its course ?
Often think the same myself Steve... Sometimes things don't change on here for a day or more.... It has all the trappings of a decent forum but there's very few posters and tbh its always been very cliquey on here and a lot of the time you don't even get a reply to posts you make... It's a pity but hey ho.
100% interested still Steve, still spend a lot of time on here but havent had the chance to post quite as much with work/kids although i still try to contribute as much as i can. Agree with the comments above about it being a bit slow mind and have voiced it to the mods as there seem to be plenty of new members joining up but not many with much to say? This place and the lads on here have seen me through some choppy times so i am all for whatever it takes to get things moving again 👍
Don't know why some people join forums then don't post and that's just not on here but every forum including osti, casco and FUK etc. Don't think it's cliquey either really but might appear so due to the small number of posters and even regulars sometimes don't post for yonks including mods?? To fair to Tone he starts a lot of threads off but if no one responds what's the point??
Personally I don't post sometimes if I'm restricted to my phone and prefer to use the computer at work hence some daft posting times, still like the forum though but would like to see some of the well informed posters post more regarding the Japanese brands etc.

Just used denimio btw T, great service from them.
We get on average 4 members join per week, but you never see them post, they are on line, but just read through the threads, why bother joining up if your not gonna get involved?!?!? I'm at a loss as to what to do, I did think about running competitions, but I would imagine if one of the new non posters won, it wouldn't go down too well with regular posters?!?! As Scott says, I don't think it cliquey, its just there are a small nucleus of regular posters who like to get involved. Its not just this board that's slow though, I'm on a couple of others and its the same there, maybe folks have just moved on?

It's not just new members that don't post, it's fucking ALL members. Take a look at "Today's Visitors" and virtually the whole board logs in each day yet it's a handful who post and the rest just log straight back out.

As you say and I've also noticed most of the forums are a bit slow with osti being the exception but found_NYC was pretty busy an'all so it's kept a lot of posters, with the downside most of them still dress like it's the mid 90s, that's not a slur btw but I prefer a bit more progression clothing wise. Don't think competitions are the answer myself, going back to osti I'm pretty sure the number of users on line when the draw is on goes up quite a lot with (presumably) a lot of them being non or infrequent posters??

Tone it's probably more to do with being on an iPad most of the time and not knowing how to use it for posting photos etc.

Personally i think it a combination of things...Ja did do alot of damage, peoples lives move on they come and go, trouble being those that have replaced them don't contribute, i'm busy myself at the moment and struggle to contribute as much as i'd like. One could argue the scene is alittle stale at the moment...I do notice alot of people have joined and have never contributed either in posting are actually logging on, maybe a cull required there. Also how about a collection sub forum, found Pauls jacket ( not jaiket P ) thread interesting, although IIRC when we had one of those someone posted a collection of dildo's...but atleast it adds a bit of interest?

I assumed when it was a bit slow everyone was busy (isn't everyone nowadays) or there wasn't much happening to comment on.
I'm not on any other forums or blogs, Instagram etc..
Also using a smartphone its that easy to have a quick peek as you're always logged in but it's a pain typing out on the wee screen maybe that's why the amount of users to actual posts is so far apart.
It's never been hundred mile an hour on here....but has been quiet of late and I'm as guilty as anyone but don't seem to have 2 minutes spare ATM but that's what having a 3 year old does I suppose
Also as stated the clothing market/scene call it what you will is stuck in a rut IMO and doesn't help a clothing bases forum

My take on it? The smart phone is a legit call as it's easy to read but a Bollox typing on them. My interest in clobber has waned in the world where a run of the mill shirt is now about 150 rrp . Its Bollox. Most of my posts tend to be football related.
