I work for a council where these sorts of things should be rife.. but they're not. It basically boils down to a vicious circle of media over sensationalising a employment tribunal story which has a knock on effect on not so clever middle managers, companies and the such like, who fear what they read will happen to them. I'm a social worker, the biggest lilly liberal you'll find, but I'd make a complaint if I was ever to be greeted with something as ridiculous as the scenarios posted. I'd go as far as to say things like this oppress ethnic minorities. Now there's a tribunal.

when people push this issue and make you watch videos and fill out questionnaires they are shinning a spot like on the problem...forcing kids to go to mosques, employers making you read leaflets and finding out your thoughts on other races/religions - they are making you more aware of your differences and thus making the segregation gap even wider. They will never close the gap as long as they are forcing different races to comment on other races. For the most people just get along with other nationalities without questioning...but it seems government want you to question.
