Went out yesterday for my mates 50th,typical day/night out,lads getting pissed/loud etc etc.was out,watched the leeds v Huddersfield game,great result everybody buzzing 90% of lads out are leeds so was great start to the day out,but when I got home and Mrs said to me was it a good do etc,I just thought for a minute and said yeh was ok typical piss up but being honest I was thinking I'm much more looking forward to going cenotaph tin the morning for remembrance Sunday. Just got me thinking am I just getting old,miserable or both??days on the piss at the football just don't feel the same anymore,I said to her I'm seriously thinking of packing in drinking completely just doesn't bother me can really take it or leave it and just think can only be better for my health anyway.
Apologise for my ramblings lads just really do feel since I turned 50 I do feel and think differently, not something I've planned or made a conscious effort to do it just seems to have crept up on me.
Like I say,maybe just getting old and a miserable twat ,just wondered anybody else found their attitude outlook on life changed quite drastically and like I said just crept up on them,the thought of the proper piss ups and total mental days at the football just don't appeal the same anymore and like I said the thought of my walk down to cenotaph is something I'm looking forward to a lot more.

doing something different is what I like to do these days ie..went over to harrogate with the mrs a few saturdays ago five or six beers around the montpelier quater ..nice thia restaurant for tea then onto the harrogate conference centre to watch john cooper clark back up Squeeze. ..best day out ive had in a while tbh.

Well off the scene wadey but knew a few of the HYC lads from the 90, s and they were close nit and a keen little bunch..not so sure what the younguns are upto these days though..think a little bit went off late afternoon as had a msg an old town mate of mine got knicked at the tender age of 53!!

Not many. I still enjoy a drink and every now and then get a twinge and want out with the lads but to be honest time i get is limited so 9/10 times if its a choice of family or a session i choose family.

Feel the same mate, hit 50 earlier this year, hardly drink now hangovers have just got fucking worse.
Take the bairn to the toon matches now, prefer that to getting shit faced..

Christening sunday and do back at the Thomas Wilson.

Just the mere thought of vodka at the minute is making me shudder.

I've got plenty on from now until Christmas. My mate's organised a Steve Harper talk in for the Tuns, 4th December.

Just ordered a Special Mixed Kebab, looking forward to demolishing that.
