West Ham are moving to the Olympic stadium. They have won the bid. I think the fans will not be that happy and The Orient will be well pissed off. Bad move IMO as it will kill the atmosphere and be half empty which will kill the clubs fan base.
I also think the spurs fans will be very happy with this as it means White Heart Lane will stay.
I sit here trying to think of what connect's me to modern football and apart from the passion & love for my club and the fact it's in my blood there is nothing else, theres nothing for me or any other working class man at the football any more, decision's like this prove it, this will be the biggest mistake the West Ham board could ever make it will bring that club to it's knee's, all the tradition and history, passion and feeling down there will dissapear
no offence to wst ham but are they a big enough club to move into a ground that big ? big london derbys and man utd game may pull the big crowds but I can't see it being full any other times.

Thinking exactly the same thing & whats the point of having a nice stadium if you cannot fill it.Looking like the Championship for the hammers next year so no chance!

Maybe if they were pushing towards champions league they could get 40 - 50,000 , much more realistically it will be Championshp football unless things change very quickly and with Grant in charge I for one cannot see that happening. Not impressed with the potential move although I rarely go now,
Capacity: 80,000 (55,000 of which can be removed) Location: In the south of the Olympic Park
The Olympic Stadium will have a capacity of 80,000 during the Games: 25,000 permanent seats in its permanent lower tier and a lightweight steel and concrete upper tier holding a further 55,000 spectators. The upper tier can be dismantled after the Games.
Wondering if they will be remove the upper section after reading that asking myself is it a move towards the championship with a capcity oy 25,000 ????

One of the only reasons the Golds and that little Welsh twat Sullivan went there was the potential move !!
Tried for a few years to move us over near the NEC as they wanted hotels, casinos etc etc.......all about buisness now, and very little if anything to do with the football !!
Would never knock them for saving my club, cause if they had not come in when they did i'm not sure we'd still be here as the Kumars had run the club into the ground and didn't have a pot to piss in.
But as soon as they had us in the black with the banks it was all about what they could make out of us, the fans, extra booking fees on tickets, price hikes every season on ticket prices, more and more corporate packages.....need i go on.
Today's football is a far cry from the game i, and a lot of people on here i would say, fell in love with
I still go, but prob spend more time just staying in the pub with the lads rather than going in watching the game......
The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard
