Lucerne is fantastic Steve. The Mrs is a St Johnstone fan and we stayed there for a 5 days.when they played them a couple of summers ago in a Europa league qualifier.it is expensive but not too dear if you look around.stunning place, we spent a day on a boat trip on Lake Lucerne then went up Mount Pilatus on the worlds steepest cog railway.at the top is a structure that looks like a James Bond baddies hideaway.it has a restaurant and bars and plenty areas for you to sit if you take a picnic with you.stunning views before you come down the other side in a cable car.well worth doing if you go.we will definitely go back
