Or other knee symptoms, Been in pain now since a session at the gym, didnt feel nothing till good few hours after a 30 minute session on sit down bike to finish workout, but my knee seems to be in a lot of pain when i try to bend, feels very weak, I have to support under my thigh to get full movement, I know its not muscular, but getting a bit worried as got a massive assessment looming. Can hear a slight, rubbing/grinding like fluid is there, Once get walking its fine and there is no swelling as yet. this started Friday, any thoughts,
i used to have prolems with my knee, when i walked it was like rubbing and acheing. I told my mma instructor and he sat me down and basically just sorted it out. fuck knows how, just moved it and stretched it out, never had a problem since
My right knee used to be pretty fucked. If I ever crouched, ran or anything that involved bending my knee really, I would hear that rubbing sound you talk about - almost like balls rotating in my knee.
Played football on the beach in the Domincan (unleveled surface so lots of knee bending haha) and the noise got pretty intense then I heard a pop. Felt like my knee cap shot out. Really weird feeling. Quite sore but mainly uncomfortable. After that it happened all the time. Started getting really sore. It was honestly like my knee would dislocate then I would have to pop it back in.
After two years of this I finally went to the doctors and got an operation on it. Get it seen to ASAP. The op is well annoying cause you are in and out in the same day.
probably just agrovated it Ja! funny things knees (not funny ha ha) suffer with mine at times through me job/football/a lost brawl (but thats another story)... if ats stiff then its probably fluid..anti inflamatories and rest (keep it raised as much as possible) should calm down.......or you might be ready for t' knackers yard!!
I used to run a lot and had sporadic pain in my knees over 3 years or so blaming it on wear and tear and years of running. Eventually became continual to the point that I could hardly walk. Went to a Physio. who said my kneecaps had been pulled off centre through the muscles weakening at different speeds when I had to give the running up. Carried on with exercises. No joy. It got to the point I couldn't walk or climb stairs. I went to numerous hospital appointments but as my MRI scan was no different to the one three years previous I was continually dismissed. Had more physio. and hydrotherapy. At this point I could even go to work gettin g up and down stairs on my backside. After more than 12 months and when I was having pain in my knees, ankle, wrist, fingers I was referred to a Rheumatologist within 5 minutes she'd diagnosed Rheumatoid Arthritis. Within a week of treatment I was walking again and back at work within 3 weeks.
The moral being get it looked at straight away and if it isn't put right keep making a nuisance of yourself until it is.
All I know is I suffered badly from Osggod-Schlatter's disease when I was a lad, doctor told me to stop doing sport for a year, I didn't, and now my knees are completely fucked.
As Mr Watts says, get it checked out. And do what the doc says!

just went throughb the same thing over the past number of weeks - turned out to be a combo of gout and rheumatoid- and your moral is dead on- can't let it go on too long- if you have joint pain that persists, get to the docs!
Could be walking round Asda (Sorry, I meant Waitrose) and the bastards will just give way! 'kin rolling around in the 'Fine Wine's Aisle' trying to get up!
Went to the Quacks a few years ago and he just said 'it's an over-use injury from playing football - stop playing football!'
Spoke about getting the ligaments tightened but he said once it's been done, you have to keep coming back for a re-fit! So stopped playing football and they seem a touch better now? Still keel over though occasionally. Did it at work last Friday, walking out of the room firing some 'delegations' out and just went down, smacked me head on the wall, legs akimbo, the lot! Is a daily piss take still!
