got stung a while back but just reading HMRC site and it says 'Customs duty becomes payable if the value of the goods is over £135 but duty is waived if the amount of duty calculated is less than £9.' this is valued at £108, so seems to be okay, anyone know what the score would be VAT-wise?
Likewise, when i've sent stuff to the US which at one point was quite regularly it was always as a gift and never a problem. When it's been the other way i've been stung even when the price is less than £135 so fuck knows how they do it ???
