Not sure if this is worthy of its own thread but sitting here in London it makes me reminisce of good summer times in Copenhagen.
News broke out in Denmark just after eight on the 4th of May 1945, and was official the day after.
The category of the prosumer commodity does not signify a democratization of the media towards participatory systems, but the total commodification of human creativity
[quote="Locomotion"]I concur - its great to see the Dutch & Danes celebrating their Liberation Days, afterall, if it wasn't for us Brits they'd both be speaking German

People tend to forget. I'm far from a nationalist but I am very proud of the Danish resistance, and very interested in the history of Copenhagen during the occupation. I guess you can call me a local patriot. The germans should have kept Jutland though, can't stand the place.

Certainly is worth its own thread. Great photos there, the feeling of liberation must have been indescribable. I have the utmost respect for the resistance in any of the occupied countries

They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time.
This was one of the bloodiest days in Denmark. The SS soldiers in Odense wouldn't surrender, which turned out to fights between them and resistance groups.
Its important to remember this day, and of cause I had candles in my window.
