I know some people use Western Union.

Failing that bank transfer or send it in the post. Done that a few times with no problems.

Could send a cheque - no charges/easy to track. Paypal is taking the piss a bit with fees etc

Charges on gift payments are a bit of a joke with paypal.

Bank Transfer. If you and the other person bank with the same bank, it's instantaneous.

Can do Postal Order, but anything over £20 has a 10% surcharge.

Maths lesson of the day, a £40 PO will cost £44.
