This season has probably been the most disheartening I've ever had as a Hibs fan. I've seen us relegated, beaten 7-0 by Rangers, hammered by Hearts, knocked out the cup by part-timers on a wet night in Stirling but generally those performances were down to a total dearth of talent as oppossed to laziness and managerial incompetence. The crowd at Easter Road since we knocked down the East Stand has also becoming very odd. We've got a '12th Man' group which is essentially composed of kids and 40/50 year old scarfers who like to daft songs and nick things off of Youtube. It's not the way it used to be and it's no wonder me, and a lot of my friends are giving more and more games a swerve. Why pay £25 to watch a piss poor game we're going to leave when you can't even have a decent chant. Easter Road used to be a proper ground - and at times could be intimidating and quite loud but it really doesnt seem to anymore. To make matters worse the quality of Scottish football has been in decline for a few years (made worse by the rise in quality in the Championship and League 1 not just the Premiership) and this year was truly shocking, I saw some exciting games but very little approaching talent. It's becoming ever harder to justify travelling up from London.
My English team Millwall by comparison had a fantastic season. I was skeptical that the players would be able to cope but Kenny Jackett has proved that hard work can beat talent when talent doesn't work hard and when you assemble a team who are willing to play as cogs within a unit rather than as individuals. The Den remains a hard place for opposition teams to visit and I'm positive about next season even though we're sure to lose a few players in the upcoming transfer window. Of the games I've seen I'd probably go for the draw with Cardiff as the best - one of the maddest 45 minutes of football I've seen.
So how's it been for you? I know there are a few lads from Sheffield on here - looking forward to playing your rivals next year?
The knocking down of the shed was a horrible decision by Hibs.
For celtic on the pitch it has been not bad. A new manager that has brought in some top quality signings, but in saying that we can still walk away trophyless which isn't acceptable. Especially when our biggest rivals look the worst they have for a few seasons.
I do like the squad that is being built though and the future does look bright.
My team Villa have had a dreadful season. Started with the disaster of O'Neill walking out, Houllier has been a nightmare along with MacAllister. Lost to Birmingham,Albion and Wolves. We've gone from a top 6 side challenging for a Champions League spot to fighting ( well there's no fight there from our players ) in a relegation battle for most of the season. Darren Bent has been a good signing but this summer needs to be a summer of complete change, new manager and new players to replace obvious departures .
After 9 games with Paulo Sousa, we had 5 points. Sven took over and we nearly made the play offs. After 9 games, I'd have just liked to avoided relegation, so to finish around 10th was a great thing IMO.
Sol Bamba was a decent buy from Hibs, he does look shaky at times though.
Sven now has a whole summer and a pre-season to make our team title winners, he has an "unlimited transfer kitty". I reckon we'll get top 2 next year.
After 4 months of woy i thought it couldnt get any worse than being soaked on watchin us get overturned by wolves and they deserved it. Then Kenny returned Mr Sulk(Aka Fernando)left and the boy Suarez turned up and things are beginning to look rosey again the fact we look like weve produced 3 kids as well bodes well for next season
For West Brom it's been a perfect season, couldn't have asked for more! Am really looking forward to going to the game tomorrow to celebrate the players. That being said the defense have been absolute shit, our goalkeeper is simply not good enough and we will have serious problems next year if things haven't improved after this summers window.
As I'm primarily a Copenhagen fan it's been a hard year away from home in what undoubtedly has been the best season in the club's history. Qualified for the champions league for only the second time ever, drew with Barca, beat Karzan and Panathinaikos and qualified for the round of 16 were we did a decent figure against Chelsea (If only N'Doye's freekick hadn't hit the post). We're already Champions of Denmark and have been for quite a few games now, we've been far superior to any other danish team this year which shows as were 27 points ahead of second placed Odense. It's been very hard living in London for the last year but am looking forward to go back and follow Copenhagen around Europe again.
The category of the prosumer commodity does not signify a democratization of the media towards participatory systems, but the total commodification of human creativity

Being the anorak I am, followed the Championship closely this season. Jackett's done a great job. Did really well to pick Millwall up from the disappointment of losing at Wembley in the play-off final against Scunny to triumph in the same venue 12 months later. The worry I have for Millwall is the dreaded 'second season syndrome'. Gonna take in a game at the Den next season - you can buy me a pint!
Bit of a mad one this season for us, We have beating and drew with best part off the upper league but when playing the teams of less quality dont start
Humiliated by our rivals 5-1, Bar that its been a canny season hopefully Bruce gets in some gems in the summer, Were all but safe now but would like to see us finish above the horrible black and whites

Out of interest, what makes a lad from Copenhagen support a shit team like West Brom.
more or less happy if he spends the money from carrol on a few decent players we could do ok next season and as connor said there was that humiliation to smile about

How would you sum up Danny Welbeck this season? I know he scored a few but how about his overall performances? Many at United have high hopes for the lad, if Bruce doesn't buy him that is!
We returned to the Premier League this season with the sole purpose of consolidating our position and building again from next season. We had a decent first half to the season, scoring a fair amount of goals and playing some excellent football, the team spirit was brought through from our promotion ethos with Hughton at the helm. The sacking of Chris at a strange time of the season really was baffling considering the job he'd done and I wasn't the only one who believed he deserved at least a full season at the top level and judge him after that, sadly when it comes to footballing matters Mike Ashley doesn't seem to work by any sort of logical thought.
So to Alan Pardew, the skepticism of his appointment was well documented and why wouldn't it be? He brought with him a relegation record and even the mere mention of the word brought back bad memories from our last season at the top level. So he had a lot to prove, there were numerous managers we would have taken before him but that was irrelevant so benefit of the doubt prevailed. With the sale of Carroll and our lack of strikers, one criticism is that he didn't move to bring a quality temporary striker in for the remainder of the season. Overall we done what was necessary and claimed some decent results in the second half of the season, we went on an unbeaten run but we drew too many games that we should have won. Instead of playing the full 90 (obviously the Arsenall 4-4 an exception) we just couldn't finish games off and it led to a fair few points dropped. This could have seen us challenging for a Europa League spot but maybe that is being too optimistic?
Ultimately Pardew will be full judged by his movement in the transfer market over the summer and how he attempts to shape his own team, another key factor will be if he can keep some of the top players at the club, personally feel it will be a hard task with a couple of players if bids come in.
So with Premiership safety assured, spanking the unwashed from down the road 5-1 and signing Ben Arfa on a full time contract I'd say it was a decent season.
Just be glad your not Aberdeen fans. 9-0 defeat by Celtic being a low point among many lows. The future also looks grim with the only bonus being the fact that many of these players will be leaving. With a very limited budget (fuck all) we need to build a squad. I feel that we will be relegated in not long.
I'm not really sure of all this pressure, I'm never gonna lose any of my old letters, 'Cause they'll stay with me, Until I can see that I'm no one

I'd also add that we've had a load of loan signings and the back four has been changing every week, resulting in shipping goals away from home and never really recovering. Ultimately costing us a Play-Off place.
If we can secure Kyle Naughton and Patrick Van Anholt on permanent deals, add a twenty goal striker, a creative midfielder and start playing a settled side, we'll be in good shape next season. Not too much to ask....
Shit season as per usual. It started well with us in the playoffs in November and having a very good start to the season. Ultimately it faded out unsurprisingly and it's been a pretty average/dull season. We sacked Aidy though and now have Andy Thorn in charge and the football has been a lot better. King has been a highlight and i'm hoping we'll finish top half next season. Can't see it though.
Happy to still have a club to support (Pompey) after what's happened to us. Staying up on goal difference would have been a result at the start of the season. Pretty shaky start, then a good run and talk of play offs etc. Petered out in the end , not surprisingly on such a thin squad. Overall I've enjoyed this season miles more than the last couple of seasons in the Premier league, but going to football is nothing like it used to be.

A new keeper is a must for me, if we can get Westwood from Cov then I'd be happy. Sign Yakubu for £2million. Mee, Vitor, PVA I'd happily take on a permo or another years loan. I think we'll sign Nicky Maynard or Marlon King or Heskey to partner the Yak. Couple of wingers are a must as well, because we'll go 4-4-2 next year. We're looking at about 10 new players I think mate.
