Thing is they are also encroaching onto a lot of brands, styles etc. discussed on here. Trust me. I lived with one.
Encroaching?
Surely they can buy/wear whatever they want?
i live in the same flat as jack and this hipster.
the annoying thing was that if he bought something ... like say a pair of brogues, he'd try to argue that he was setting this massive new trend. when he wasnt

Of course they can. I just meant they had their own fashion interests before hand and now they are into certain things discussed on here etc. Just casting a fact, not dictating to any hipsters on here that they can't buy what they want.
Out of interest, which things, Jack5?
Opposed to things I guess they are just cottoning onto brands such a Garbstore, Albam, Universal Works and Norse Projects especially. I thought they were just more into charity shop clothes and DIY jobs.

THAT SOUNDS A BIT IGNORANT FELLA.
A BIT LIKE SAYING LADS WHO GO THE FOOTIE ONLY DRESS IN S.I.

A trend. Will move on in a couple of years.
BEING A HIPSTER ISN'T A TREND, KID.
ITS YOUNG PEOPLE DRESSING DIFFERENTLY, EXPRESSING THEMSELVES. USUALLY WHEN THEY HAVE JUST LEFT HOME FOR THE FIRST TIME AND HAVE A BIT OF FREEDOM.
THERE ISNT NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.
aye mate, im getting what youre saying and im not saying its a bad thing to be. Each to their own, and I learned to appreciate different kind of styles and way of lifes, but It seemed to be a hype . You can say a lot of people are jumping on the bandwagon to be a "hipster", just to be "trendy". (cringeworthy terms, I know)
What do we think of hipsters? They're getting more and more here in Sweden..
Or perhaps more importantly what do you think of Hipsters. You posted the thread so you must have opinion yourself. Say what you think, don't wait for the general consensus before giving your views. It looks like a cop out.
