I think both can be as each other done in excess, lost a mate last year to alcohol normal fella liked a drink at a weekend then had a few strokes of bad luck wife fucked off with the kids mother died with cancer then he stopped coming out, choosing to drowned in cheap cider from supermarkets he was dead within 3 years I read that in holland in some clubs there was some sort of test for MDMA to tell the kids what it was they were taking how strong it was etc ,without the risk of being arrested which I thought was a good idea ,because you are never going to stop it you should know what you are putting into your body
Drugs have done some good things for us. If you don't think drugs have done good things for us then do me a favor. Go home tonight and take all of your records, tapes and all your CD's and burn them. Because, you know all those musicians who made all that great music that's enhanced your lives throughout the years? Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreal fucking high

Agreed. I can't smoke weed for shit. Sends me barmy. On the other hand I seem to be the only person left in the world who's partial to a big dirty yellow rock of whizz.
Theres been a 30 to 40 year war on drugs, hasnt worked one bit, we should legalise the lot, get Pharmicutical giants to make it & governments to tax it to hell and let the public enjoy it. like back in the days like in World War One when you could buy a heroin package and send it out to your soldiers in the trenches.

Zitat von alan_the_casualDoes anyone do poppers? I have had some crazy days on those things.
We sniffed it in school in year 10 on the benches at dinner time. Was pretty good at the time. Wouldn't bother now. I only ever seem to take drugs when they're offered to me, and for free. People need to realise that a hell of a lot of people these days take drugs.

People who are taking drugs at the weekend just to 'loose themselves a bit more' would probably say yes to legalise it, could get a bit of sniff or smoke from the vending machine in the pub/club, nice and easy. Go back to a non dependant drug free life for the rest of the week...go to work, pick the kids up etc etc. Then you have your addicts, who are robbing their families and friends spending the last tenna on a hit rather than buy food, pay the rent or look after themselves, sharing needles and fighting each other for the last rock, couldn't give a shit if it's legalised or not! Perhaps we should find out what seperates these two types of drug takers and address the problems that drive people to have such a low outlook on life and feel that the only escape is through blocking out reality. I also think it is shit that celebrities should campaign to legalise all drugs, these people are meant to be role models and their all saying there's nothing wrong with it. If they really fought this and believe that drugs are great, we would see them with needles hanging out their arms and read how they spent all their money on gear and are now ripping off old biddies, it's just a publicity stunt and too show that they are 'down' with the people, and can stick two fingers up to 'the man'. Anyway, drugs wouldn't be any fun if they were legal!

You've never been on a night out in Scotland - still get a lot of speed being gobbled down up there.
My position is ambivalent. The illegality of drugs isn't going to stop me having a few pills or lines every now and then but nor would their decriminalisation lead me to do more. The main thing that puts me off is the come down/cost which I can't see diminishing purely because they can be bought over the counter. At the same time I strongly feel that police hours would be better spent solving crimes rather than tracking down drug pushers and that in time the criminal element could be weeded out of the supply change (however long it would take). That's not to say I'd agree with free licensing for all substances but I think supplying smack via the NHS so addicts could take it in a safe environment rather than on the street (risking harm to themselves, others and society at large) can only be a good thing. Similarly I think that coffee shops modelled after the Amsterdam model, prior to the new dutch legislation, could provide a real boost to the British economy. It's a complex subject though, emotions run high whenever you bring up drugs and I can't see dramatic change happening in the near future.
