Shall be attempting this tomorrow for a stag do. Sheffield to Stalybridge and stopping at every station on the way back I think.

Looking forward to sampling some good beer then going crackers on brando and coke when/if we get back to Sheff

Any ideas of what to expect? I'm predicting lots of bearded men and whippets.

The boozer on stalybridge station is a real gem, just make sure you're off the train and in the bar first otherwise you'll be ages queuing. At huddersfield go into the one on the left as you are facing the station, the better of the two.

Sheffield is a good drink, some really decent places. Yet to go to Kelham Island brewery. But I love the bar which is in the Railway station - top draw.

I wasn't really into the ales when i went on the Sheffield meet in November so didn't enjoy what it really had to offer, would love to go again though !!!!!!

Just had a look at this and it sounds great. Was one from Swansea to Shrewbury but I don't think it runs anymore. Would be epic trip that.

Suffering today, but did indulge in a mini offhand meet with Thom and Ivo at Brighton Beach. Rounded the day off nicely, and I didn't get thrown out of anywhere!

With it being their birthday I was wondering whether they actually played some decent ones - as in some proper Motown stuff? Last 2 times I've been I've heard fucking Kings of Leon, awful cunts.
