I'll get a picture up of my local in town when I'm back in work if these fucking antibiotics ever fucking work.
I'm not a huge drinker but I love proper pub culture. My own local is rumoured to be a Republican bar but also has a huge amount of English customers. Fans of most London clubs watch the football there at weekends (bar manager is London Irish). Right mix in the place ex armed robbers, ex football hooligans, gamblers, interesting old characters, lots of people who have travelled all over and rammed to the gills with talent on a Saturday night. Love the place.

That sounds like a proper boozer , tell us the name & location.
Thought i'd post mine up as I just came across this thread.
My local local is the Tiltyard, literally a couple minutes from my house. Decent pub with decent beers. Even has a decent quiz, quite expensive though.
When I venture into town I tend to head into the Bear and Ragged Staff. Cheaper beer and more teles for the football.
When I go to the football I frequent this shithole. The Cherry Tree. Can't find a picture but this is it when it got stormed by riot police.
Not my local, but on the way back from Brighton in the fa cup game, we stopped off just outside South West London in a place called Chertsey. 15 of us went in a pub called the george to watch the city united match. It's one of the best pubs I've ever been to, there were 4 old chaps in there discussing the betting at ascot and a huge open fire. There was also a dog walking around the pub. Some nice real ales on tap too, and at the end a meat raffle. It was refreshing to go into a proper traditional british pub for once!
