Can it be done. One of my mates has found an Iphone 4, he has tried finding out who it belongs to with no joy. Now intends to keep it, can it be unlocked once it has been locked after being reported as missing. Thanks.
if its been found/nicked the original owner is likely to have phones the network company or insurance company or police. if they havent dont it yet.. they will do soon.
these guys then put it on the blacklist. which is nearly impossible to get it off. id tell your pal to steer clear.

You can do it but it's illegal and you'll struggle to find someone who will do it, could always try a dodgy market stall who will have to do it overnight

Yeah this is different pal, it's to do with the coding in the phone, it's what the mobile companies use to block it unlike all other phones which can still be easily unblocked, each Iphone has an individual code and if it's reported stolen/lost etc it's just shut down, I found an Iphone 3GS in the gym in a locker I opened up, it must have been there a day or 2 as it was already blocked and I've tried a few places to see if they uncode it and all of them told me to fuck off as it's illegal. You can open your phone up to use on o2 or voda etc but this is different.
