where you off to? i love germany, done munich, cologne, leverkusen, dusseldorf, hannover, hamlyn, frankfurt and a whistle stop tour of baden baden. loved em all. the people are great, the beer just goes with out saying. what's not to like?! i would have been more places if we had flights there from anywhere near the toon.

although ive only been to germany on three occasions , i feel similarly, its a great place. i found the people a little less manufactured, particularly the women. its a place im hoping to spend quite some time in the future.
what germany may lack in world war victories, it is made up for with general pleasantries.

yeah, despite their past they remain proud of their culture (esp. in munich/bavaria) and just seem to be very similar to us but with a bit more respect for where they live and not as much trampy scummers. they also just seem to do things properly as well. some may see it as red tape etc but they wouldn't accept the slop we get dished up in city centre bars that masquerades as beer, they have fought to retain the proper football match experience and kept the terraces etc. the people have always been really friendly in my experience and the girls aren't backwards at coming forward either!
