Another very, very hard season in the Championship this season. Probably the hardest league in the world to get out of. If West Ham dont end up losing anymore players (which would suprise me alot) i dont think you can look any further than them for champions. After that it really is anyones guess, could be any other 2 out of 10+ teams. Certainly going to be an exciting season.
I've got a 4 hour + bus journey to Aberdeen tomorrow. Apparently 30mm of rain is to fall within the next 24 hours up there so it's early August and we're already playing in mid november conditions. Welcome To Scotland...
LCFC beat Coventry 1-0, we went down to 10 men on 11 minutes, and they went down to 10 men at about 40 minutes. Grinded out the result, first time we've ever won at the Ricoh arena.
We're not going to score many goals but oh well. Yesterday was the first time in a while where I had zero expectations and wasn't too bothered in the end.
That was his first start for us, only signed a few days ago on loan. He bossed the midfield. Hes the one that scored for Switzerland against Spain in the World Cup a couple of years ago if you remember, when they beat Spain 1-0.
And Cardiff have just nicked all 3 points from West Ham. So glad, think West Ham will be the ones challenging Leicester near the top of the table, so 3 points dropped for them!
Same old at Upton Park from what I saw, created a fair few chances, took none although Marshall played well tbf, defensive fcuk up at the end and good finish by Miller = gameover. Not unduly worried as long season ahead but disappointing to see nothing changes !
Decent enough trip to the Granite City today. Wasn't a great game and the atmosphere wasn't as good at Todders as the last few times we've been there but 3 points always represents a decent day. Totally gutted by the injury to Izaguirre though - he's a massive part of how we play. Will be a big miss. Hopefully , Mulgrew can provide decent back up til Izzy's back.
