A lot of Liverpool fans don't give a toss about England neither so it isn't just United, and it is by no means all United fans who don't care about England. I've also noticed that a few Stoke fans on their forum are caring less and less about the national side whereas in the past they were England mad. How the fuck am I supposed to want a team consisting of scum cunts like Cole and Terry to succeed? That pair of verminous filth make me ill so I'm not likely to cheer the shithouses on am I? I love seeing the national cricket and rugby teams doing well but the football team cannot make me feel that way. Rooney is a tosser at times but like every other football fan I'm biased. He let himself down with his threats to leave and will never be a United legend because of it imo but he is back to his best and long may it continue (for United). As for how much he earns well I don't know and I don't take what I read on the internet as gospel and neither should you. If he played for anyone else I'm sure I'd hate him. Even though I've moved away from football tribalism in recent times and now see myself as much an observer of all things football as much as anything else, your comments about Cole and Terry back up my thoughts on the media in England and the way it can spin things. I've no particular love for either Terry or Cole, apart from the fact they've both been fantastic servants for CFC - no argument there. However, as for their character as people and what makes them who what they are - well there is absolutely no difference between your John Terrys of this world and your Rio Ferdinands. There is fuck all difference between Ashley Cole as a person and Wayne Rooney . And that's without going near that moral guardian, Saint Ryan of Giggs. If you mized Terry and Cole together it still wouldn't be as bad as what Gigg's did and yet he got away pretty easy considering he was shagging HIS BROTHER'S MISSUS.
