Mixed reports coming in about Gaddafi, some saying he has been captured and injured but others saying he has been killed. Either way I'd imagine there will be a helluva party in Libya tonight!

Well the Syrian dictatorship has reportedly killed thousands of its own people over the last few months so they look a good bet. Having said that they have a much stronger military than Libya so I'm sure we won't bother. Maybe a few harsh words will suffice for them rotters.
What are the odds of the Libyans fighting among themselves now? They were united in their mission to oust and kill Gaddafi but now that is out of the way they could become splintered with no real leadership. Too many blokes running around with guns.

True that, will probably end up the same as in Afghanistan. And if I remember correctly, the gorvernment in that "new settlement" by the West wasn't really up to much. Tribes who rule their turf all over and I think that will count for Libya too. Surely USA and the likes will end up in ruling the bigger picture, but I think it won't matter much for the people who live there.
The hypocrisy of the Arab league supporting the uprising in Libya, while sending their troops into Syria to quash theirs. No one's fooled that this has anything to do with liberating people. The Libyans under Gaddafi were the richest and most literate of all African nations. That's not to say he wern't a bastard, but there's much worse around the world.
Makes me laugh a couple of years ago our government thought he was the bees knees turning a blind eye to his actions against his people,as soon as the good ol USA eyes the oil up we come crawling & its fuck you mate!
