The unfortunate thing is that JT didn't call him a Nigga Cunt as given Rios mates (and thus presumably then Anton) has no problem using the word with regularity to describe themselves so presumably no issue would have ensued.....
I agree and find it hard to believe that other black players who train and play alongside Terry every day would simply let him get away with behaving like that. I do though remember Drogba looked amazed at what Terry said to Ledley King a few years back at WHL.
I think we came to the conclusion way back that the vast majority of footballers are utter cunts. That's what happens when you give working class kids money and fame with the odd exceptions of course.
funny, I was trying to think of footballers in particular who on and off the pitch could be looked up to by your kids (setting aside the whole footballers as role models argument.) Lampard I'd have said but someone may throw up the 9/11 incident so I suppose his record isn't exemplary but he was young and stupid and it seems a one-off which he learnt from. Zola is probably the stand-out from us in recent times in this respect. Then again, to pick up on your point, Lampard was public school educated so probably supports your point on working class/money.

i know not the best tackler for kids to look up to, id say paul scholes, cant remember anything off field he got upto over the years. few dodgy tackles on the pitch but thats about it.

Maybe I am just too narrow minded but surely you can just take comments on the chin and move on but I am aware I am not black and can't really relate to it. But I know if I was a young man making stupid money and someone said something along those lines to me I definitely couldn't give a fuck.
He is probably delighted this media attention is making him noticed cause his footballing talent certainly doesn't get him in the papers.

Didn't want to step on any toes, mate. And for religious abuse, I haven't seen it around here, where I live. So I might be wrong on that case. But in the end, rascism against black people still crosses my path daily. I think, for a non-black person (for that matter) it's hard to imagine, the abuse some people get in, day in day out. But on the other side, the people I come across are not footballers who aren't very bright.

^^^ Because the old bill got involved. The FA stopped their invetigation so as to not get in the way of the criminal one. The court adjourned it until after the Euro's, not the FA. Lots of cases get adjourned by months, nothing unusual in that.
