Rewind a matter of weeks and Villas-Boas was looking at the sack. A few good wins and your season has turned on it's head, funny old game eh.
someone once said ' a week is a long time in football ' . finally AVB took notice the high line wasn't working , changed tactics , and three - three nil wins , Wolves , Newcastle & Vallencia . any young new manager will struggle a bit in the Premier League . but I think the penny has dropped , and the stragglers are getting fucked off ..
I'm only 27, I was going on tonight purely. Have been lucky not to have seen the bad times so I suppose it's a bit dramatic, just used to seeing them with a bit of fight even if they aren't the best of players.
Probably really struggle to get anything but I don't think it's the crisis that some people are saying it is. It's shown the weakness in the squad and hopefull forces Fergies hand
Hopefully United win nothing this year so it makes Fergie realise he has to spend, and spend big. And hopefully he doesn't get the money from the Glazers and falls out with them. Which would mean no more glazers!
Quote by jack5Easiest group they could have been given. Still fucked it up.
Really hope this is the demise of United. All Man Utd fans claim they love to be hated. Why do they always bite to the bate then?
No one is biting about football banter and piss-taking about results? I find it a bit sad though when people celebrate players getting bad injuries, especially when the team they support has had a few bad ones in recent times. Not to mention that the team they support are not even rivals of United.
have to admit , I'm one of the worst losers on here probably , hate my team being beaten , though been spoilt last 10 years with a team at the top , top'ish .. I'd be more concerned though if I wasn't totally gutted when my team were to lose .. Shows a great passion towards your club .. whoever they are ..

that's premature Ian. Our season hasn't turned around on the back of winning away at Newcastle (no disrespect) and at home to Valencia. There's still plenty of work and change needed. It's a team in transition. AVB may have earned himself the season to implement some of it.
as for last season, we'd a good run of fixtures at the start of the season but never had the squad capacity to cope with the injuries - highlighted by having Ferriera at centre back v Mackems- and we all know how that turned out. The same players not good enough and should have been sold pre season 2010 (Kaloo, Malouda, Mikel....) are still there playing a part in the team/squad now. That's been glaring yet not addressed in the last 18 months.
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
basel are an underestimated team they have some good players who work hard for each other, I thought their fans where top notch as well one of the best ultra groups in europe

I wouldn't imagine that Shaqiri chap will be hanging around there too long, looks the real deal. Fair play to Basle, they wanted it more and at the end of the day took their chances.
It shouldn't have come down to that game for United though, should have had qualification sewn up already
