Just had 5 very memorable days in New York . Was freezing cold , but no snow or rain . People , not amongst friendliest I've met , in fact lot very rude , abrupt . Shopping , incredible , bought kids loads , went to Barneys / Macys / Century 21 / Bergdorf / Bloomingdales / Supreme / Saks / Nepenthes Main brand I noticed almost everyone wearing - Moncler , everywhere . Food - Hard Rock Cafe , Planet Hollywood , Maxwells - extornionate , plenty of pizza stalls , Serendipity Cafe , Sightseeing , Staten Island for Statue Of Liberty , Ground Zero , went into church that was undamaged it was very very emotional brought me to tears , Central Park - Ice Skating & Horse and Carriage Rides , Flat Iron Building , Top of the Rocks . In all an incredible experience , spent so much money was unreal . We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria , beautiful inside - room didn't match the hotel's stunning interior .
Great City! but just like you I thought the people were bloody rude especially on the touristy things like Statue of Liberty tour and the Helicopter ride.
Great pics!!
Dirty old river, must you keep rolling, Flowing into the night.......
Quote by STEVECFCyeah , we had great time , exhausted though , walked everywhere ..
we were there in feb, one day we walked fae central park down to the ferry port, did the ferry trip and waked back up to times sq, zig zagging to all the shops i had on the tripit map, we were fucked by the time we got there, didnt realise how far it was as there was heaps to see and do.
went into a sports shop across from MSG and they were the most ignorant cunts ive ever dealt with in a shop, the wee lad nearly never got his hi-tops but then in places like maceys they couldnt be nicer
highlight for me was bubba gumps shrimp place in times sq, i was addicted
think were probs going to go back this coming year, loved the place.
but ive done the fashion/great cities of the world, London, Milan, Paris, New york, berlin, (nae tokio yet) and without a doubt imo the best of the lot is London
looks like you had a good one last time I was their waa in Jan was icy cold and even had some snow, would like to go in the summer visit long island ect and do some the beaches
Best place was Hard Rock Cafe , we were treated superb from start to finish , ordered Cocktails , and after meal took receipt up and got free glasses , food was lovely service was 10/10 .. Worst was Maxwells , limited menu , was ripped off , they refused to cook Steak well - done , mine was medium , had Lobster starter that was stunning , they added gratuity on themselves 20% ..
Barneys had a good Cabourn rail , Taffy was gonna be bought , but asked for 10% disco they fucked me off , even though their sale was gonna start soon . Bloomingdales had WWM Boone , half price , no xxl's though ..
Central Park was my favourite place to visit , great atmosphere there ..
Fantastic place, love it. Love going for stroll in Central Park and just mooching around. Stayed at the Waldorf a couple of times and agree with you on the rooms although the first time the room was better. Hoping to go back again soon. Good pics Steve.
We struggled to find Nepenthes , went up in a lift to second floor , knocked on the door , and was greated by Daiki Suziki - he looked really shocked as I walked in , and asked if I could have a look round .. to which he replied ' wouldn't you rather look in the store ? ' , we'd gone to the storeroom / factory workroom .. felt a right tit .. When we went to shop , sat wife kids down , and got us some Coffee .. had a good chat with couple who worked in there , plus they pointed us in right direction of ' Supreme ' store - which was shit , big shop , fuck all in it , ruff end of town too ..
