the thing with living in London is, it's not for everyone. especially scaredy cats.

Whilst it is terrible the idea that this or the riots is somehow new is ridiculous, historically we've always been a very violent nation. People have always used knives though a lot more people die from being punched or kicked than being slashed/stabbed, so banning knives won't make any difference at all.

As for no gangs in Newcastle/Sunderland?? These London gangs are hardly criminal masterminds, all they are is a bunch of scared/fucked up adolescents who don't really give a shit and you get that everywhere.

Seriously though what about the Meadowwell (sic) riots? I visit Newcastle a lot to see my relatives and there a lot of groups loitering in the city centre, and in certain areas. If you mean there aren't loads of lads walking round with caps with the prices left on with a glove on one hand then maybe that's true , but I honestly think Newcastle looks nicer but the place feels rougher nowadays, just like Nottingham. All you can do is be nice as only love can conquer hate!

Society will only get worse whilst the rich/ poor devide gets bigger, i moved out of the estate when my kids where small, fooked me financially and couldnt really afford to but my kids dont knock around the shops ( like i used to)and have knuckled down in education (like i didnt),saying there is no decent people who live on the estates is not what i meen, i have plenty of family and friends who do but if you look at the progress my kids have made in a non estate school to my nephews and nieces in the estate school it is shocking tbh , i was dragged up on an estate and it made me who i am today( better or worse?) but you can only do your best with what you have , i think my kids have a nice balance of society with friends from all sorts of backgrounds rich ,poor different colours and relegions ect,
Some of the kids in the underfunded places of the uk dont stand a chance and end up in situations this this ,
