I'd just sat down tonight at the PC and she walks in and says, "do you think you can drag yourself away from your precious computer for a minute and have a look at the washer, it ain't working". So i showed willing and she was correct in her diagnosis it was indeed not working. Just what i need this time of year i thought. . Anyway she leaves me to sort it and goes to take a bath, it was my problem now! The lights were all working but the water weren't getting through, got to be a frozen pipe, i had a brain wave, sorted out the fan heater, left it in the utility room a got back to my PC, job's a good 'un. About half hour latter she walks in the room and says i can hear running water!!!!! Dives off my chair to discover the utility room under half inch of water. The heater had done it's job in thawing out the pipe but had blown off the hose in the process........................She ain't speaking to me.
What if Oi Polloi had started their sale while you were sorting it????!!!!!
I spent 4 hours of valuable Internet time yesterday unblocking the kitchen sink. An hour to sort it, and 3 to mop up all the water and clean the mess away.
