Betty Wright is on the hootenanny jools holland show tonight.

One of the great soul singers and a personel favourite so I hope she puts in a top performance.

What a great show that was his choice of music might not be to everybodies taste but his selection is always interesting and that was probably the best hootenanny i've seen.

Betty Wright was on top form and got to do 3 tracks, 2 of her new LP, which I must admit I didn't even know she had made until yesterday, and the classic clean up woman.

Ruby Turner was the other standout performance what a voice.

Comical dancing from the likes of Carol Vorderman also added to the occasion

Recorded this and watched it earlier, some proper soul music on the show last night, that fella with silver suit jacket and daft headgear is class. Hillarious to see so many people pissed up and dancing like they're at a wedding on live TV, this is still one of favourite things on the tele.

Always make the effort to record this.

Jools is a bit of a tit but his Later shows always have some good music on and some total shite too!

True, there's always good emerging artists on most shows though. The standout for me this year has been Lianne La Havas, superb voice.

Betty certainly has some lungs on her! .... as does Ruby .... and belted out her tracks effortlessly
