Where's he playing? if it's at the Indigo2 there's a really decent bar not far away called the Pilot. Its a fullers pub and always has a good rotation of ales plus a fair number of bottled and draft lagers. I also used to work there so its got added value

pelton arms? small pub that by the river. won't need to move from there. otherwise royal hill has couple of good uns, Greenwich union is a meantime place, good local brewery. also old brewery in old royal naval college. same people own it. gypsy moth is good too, next to cutty sark
I know where you mean. If you've got time before and the weather is good you can get the DLR to Cutty Sark and do a bit of a crawl along the river - there are a good four or five pubs along that stretch. if not the cutty sark tavern isn't bad and the pelham itself is nice enough too
