Rooney and young were shocking. I'd have hooked rooney and kept wellbeck on. Pirlo had the freedom of the park all night.

No complaints from me , thought we were very lucky to get to ET never mind pens. Cannot give the ball away like we do it's the basics! Pirlo was superb a pleasure to watch at times n that pen !! I'm relieved in someways as I could see a Germany battering had we scraped though !!

I'll go with that G, Rooney looked and played like he didn't want to be there and Young should never be given the chance to wear an England shirt again. Though it pains me to say it I thought that racist cunt was immense again tonight. Italy thoroughly deserved the win, if only down to the fact they were only marginally less boring than us!

Fully agree with that, Young was terrible and Rooneys legs were gone at half time.

thing was T, Wellbeck actually looked one of the few to me who was technically on a par with the Itai's (on the night anyways). Him and Carroll would have worked much better than a shot cement legged Rooney. and how Young would up taking a pen, I'll never know. He looked shit scared - so much so, he wouldn't even look at the keeper before he took his run up FFS.
The 'Alleged' racist did what he's done for us on many an occasion

Pirlo played superb but in all honesty he was given the freedom of the park. He won't have it so easy against Germany though. He's just said on Italian TV that he took his penalty like he did to unsettle the next England penalty takers, it seemed to work!
Have to say I'm baffled by Hodgsons thinking in this tournament. OK so he wants England to soak up pressure and try to play on the break but that means your midfield players chasing shadows for ninety minutes. His main man is Gerrard who has been unfit for most of the season and yet he expects him to play four games in two weeks chasing the ball. He looked absolutely knackered after an hour and Parker also looked out on his feet. I bet Pirlo couldn't believe his luck. Italy aren't even a top side and yet we could only manage 30% possession. What a state English football is in.
Have to echo what has been said about John Terry. He made some great blocks and challenges and should have been awarded a penalty too. The downside was both him and Lescott getting caught too many times by simple balls over the top.

yeah, Gerard and Parker looked dead on their feet. Can't remember last seeing Gerard looking so fucked in a game. The defence were caught a few times but in fairness, Pirlo was having as long as he wanted to pick a pass so for me, it was inevitable they'd get unpicked at times.
you can guarantee Pirlo won't have half the impact against Germany

Yeah, it was in no way a dig at Terry, he was immense, more a pop at how as a unit/team they continually let it happen. You can't do that at this level of football and hope to get away with it. England only got to extra time because of woeful Italian finishing in all fairness.

only our top clubs to blame for that. no one else.
It's interesting that the premier league clubs get so much money in yet continue to produce players who are uncomfortable on the ball. Most teams England play are better in possession than them, but England rarely lose because they are physically strong and can generally keep going. England were largely awful in all four games.

it's true. On another day, this wouldn't have passed 90 minutes. Ballotelli alone could have scored 2-3.
not having a pop but genuinely surprised by the growing levels of 'at least we've made everyone proud' coming out from post game stuff. I mean, they maybe exceeded many peoples expectations giving the leading up circumstances but making people proud? Italia 90 yes, Euro 96 yes. the ten men v Argies in 98 yes. This tournament? sorry, not for me. For risk of sounding a bit Roy Keane-esque, surely the standards haven't slipped that much that people are proud by these 4 games? Maybe it's just me but can't imagine any of the other last 4 feeling that way if the shoe was on the other foot.

Now imagine watching that shite every week - that's how it felt to be a Liverpool supporter during the second half of 2010. Hopefully now you can all see what we've been telling you for months - that Roy Hodgson is a FRAUD.

his record elsewhere says otherwise.
Next you'll be saying 'king' kenny is a genius in the transfer market, how much for carroll and henderson?

His record has been pretty shit everywhere actually, yet somehow he's managed to convince everyone that he's had 35 years of success. Like I said, fraud.
I have to smile when I read Liverpool 'fans' slagging off Hodgson, he were a dead man walking the minute he took on the job. The 'fans' wanted Queen Kenny and in the end they got their just reward and how did he repay them, one Mickey Mouse cup and a record that boasts the lowest number of wins in a league season since 53/54 yet the they still thought the future looked fantastic. I'd have him back at West Brom tomorrow, ok at times the football weren't that nice to watch, but he took a struggling no hope team like us to 10th and 11th in the Premiership, not bad for a shit manager.
I'd now like to see Woy move England on , and build for Brasil. Fuck some of the old guard off , and keep with most of the young 'uns we have. Like the look of Ox Chamberlain , Hart is class , Cahill & Lescott , we now need to bring on some players , and change how we play. Second half & injury time we had no more than 3 touches before the ball was lost , which just isn't good enough. Like how Woy built some good team spirit , now lets see if we can build on it.

Not sure what you mean by that?
In that these are our best players(apparently) and a average team like italy have made us look like a pub team, fact is our top teams want instant success, they haven't time to be bringing youth players through the ranks, that's if there's many english lads in them., we are miles behind average European countries, never mind top ones and will continue to be as long we keep flooding the epl with foreigners.

That's a little bit unfair because both United and Liverpool have brought through loads of English players over the past couple of decades. The fact that they aren't good enough to win World cups or European championships isn't a slight on the big clubs at all. It just means they aren't good enough. I'd also say that some real talent has been completely wasted by incompetent England managers. Lets take Scholes as an example. Xavi, amongst many other foreign star players, has said that if Scholes would have been Spanish, Italian or French then they would have built a side around him. That is how highly they rated him. That Swedish idiotic cunt played him out of position to please the London press who demanded Lampard and Gerrard played together in the middle. Any clued-up Liverpool fan will tell you that Gerrard isn't a midfielder anyway and should play either behind the front man or wide right. Benitez saw this and Liverpool came very close to winning a title with him playing in those positions.
The ironic thing is that the bellend red top sports writers are now asking where England are going to find an English Pirlo. The mind fucking boggles.
