As a team effort it has to be up there with the best. Haven't seen a better prepared team so focused on getting their man the yellow jersey since the days of US Postal and Armstrong.
Well done to the lads today...Fucking legends the lot of 'em, these UK riders (amongst the others obviously) are IMO the greatest athletes in the world - I know you boys are into your footie but imagine a modern day player coming off at 40 and getting back up again without the "magic sponge" and a load of whining then doing another 90 minutes ?? Best TDF i've seen in a number of years, gotta hand to ITV for doing a sterling job again on the coverage...
Superb acheivement by the whole team, really enjoyed this Tour (for obvious reasons), also enjoyed the little history/geography snippets telling you a bit about each area
Never been a fan of cycling and never will be so won't pretend I've been into it for years like most people who latch onto certain achievements but fair play to Wiggins he is some athlete. I also read an article at the weekend about his life story and it was a decent read, seems he has the character to match his talent.
Simply awesome, Sunday was our first day in Majorca and it was cloudy so it was rude not to watch a bit of the final day. As already mentioned a simply outstanding team performance which ended perfectly with Cav winning too. The dedication that Team Sky has shown from every team member is outstanding, that's what teamwork is all about. Yes Sky's money has been a big part of it but hats off to them all from Wiggins , Cav , Froome and all the riders through to Brailsford , Yates and all the Techs and back up teams, IMHO one of the greatest British Sporting achievements as already said. Roll on the Olympic road race , what a week for Britush cycling it could be let alone has been already!
