Another great day for Team GB. Just heard the Taikwondao final on the radio at work. Sounded brilliant. Well done Jade Jones (?). At only 19 years old and beat two champions on her way. You wouldn't have thought a young girl from North Wales would kick the Far Easteners arses at their own game. There's two more hopefulls in this today, including the arguably the worlds number 1. Not sure of his name but having contraversionally taken Aaron Cookes place he has something to prove. Looking forward to another good day.

Huh, the 100M has always been of the most popular and prestigious events in the world of athletics.
yes exactly on the same night the 800m world record was broken and it hardly got a mention compared to what bolt achieved.
I don't wanmt to take anythign away from bolt he is awesome but so are lots of other athletes.
I won't be possible for bolt to do what redgrave did and get 5 golds in 5 successive olympics because he won't be able to sprint this fast for that logn.
GTBI, just look at the other athletes in the 100m final compared to Bolt. He's a freak of nature almost. I think in 20-30 years people wlll look back and agree Bolt was the greatest.

There's no denying the guy is a giant of a man, but you can't take it away from him, the guy is a great athlete. As for the geatest ever, that is debatable, Owens, Phelps, Hoy, Redgave, Gebrselassie all were great athletes at their chosen sport. But my vote has to go to Carl Lewis.
