Anyone recommend something good , looking for a good read for my holiday. Nothing too heavy , perhaps sporting auto-biography , just a good read. Was thinking of Jonny Tapia's book .. Any suggestions ?
David Millar - Racing through the dark. Just reading it at the moment. Very good. Autobiography of ace (British) Tour cyclist. Former doper. Explains how cyclists get sucked into doping and how it works. Redemption as a clean cyclist. Part of GB road race cycling team going for gold today.
So there you go: about sport; critically acclaimed; and, bang on topical.
If you ever listen in ? the story of talkSPORT is brilliant.....Documents the start of it to very recently, it is a wonder its still about, let alone the success it is !! Also i paid about £3 for it from 'The Works'.
Outside our world (I think): Danny King - The Burglar Diaries Danny King - The Bank Robber Diaries Danny King - The Hitman Diaries Danny King - The Pornographer Diaries
Inside our world: Simon Kuper - Football against the Enemy Simon Kuper and Stefan Szymanski - Soccernomics
