Anyone on here who has been hassled by PPI Calls with the offer to get money back. How the **** can I claim money back on a loan or loans I never took out? Iv had Automated calls throughout the day, Texts and even some Guy calling me up and selling their services. Data Protection Act clearly doesn't work!!
Pain in the arse, we get upto 6 a day at work at pres. If I've got 2 mins free I've started pressing 5 or whatever button it is and going through to an adviser, I let them give it the big sell and answer some questions with as little info as possible and then point out that they are calling a business line and when they get pissed off and turn a bit snotty I usually have a chuckle and ask if they are pissed off at having their time wasted ? because thats what its like for me with these friggin calls.............. and hang up!
Theres alot of scams with the texts I believe, whatever you do don't reply stop as they then know your numbers active and apparently you'll get bombarded with so much shite its unreal.
Nice on e Hammertime. There's a few of us filling envelopes up with junk mail or blank paper and sending them to Debt Collectors. We put no stamps on the envelopes so they get charged for the postage, I heard of some that are sending them heavy items like Argos Catalogues...

hit five and speak to an advisor. tell them you're charging them for your time at, say, 5 pounds a minute and will send them the bill if they don't stop calling. I still get the occasional call but far fewer than I used to
Had a call from India short while ago asking if I had ever had a car accident in the last 3years? Confirmed and I was put through to a "Supervisor".P He waffles on and asked for the Number Plate of the car that damaged my car. I told him number Plate, T I M, that as far as I got. Didn't manage the full Time Waster!!
The system is completely fucked and flawed, especially the way debt companies buy debt, it beggars belief, never had any ppi calls thankfully but then again I never take out insurance on stuff apart from my house/car
We get loads of these calls at work as well, really annoying. Thought of a good idea...hold the phone up to the smoke alarm (if you have one) and press the test button! Would give the person on the phone a shock!
