Looking at spending new year celebrations in London, nothing set in stone yet.
Anyone recommend places to go etc. if its a good experience etc. Would have thought some of the lads on here will have done it at some point! Don't need hotel, first train back in morning so be looking for places open all night.
Your right mate is vague, was looking to see what peoples experiences had been to help form a better plan. Would be looking to watch the fireworks etc. and all that jazz, with my gf (but nowhere have to queue for hours, don't mind about having the best view) then finding some decent bars to spend the rest of the night. Don't mind paying a little bit to get in but nothing taking piss.
So you say its horrendous, is that the people out, drinks prices etc? Thanks for your help
I went to london for the millenium new year, i was 6, couldn't move on westminster bridge i was on my old mans shoulders. Madness. I remember going paddington and they had no food left in any of the shops/takeaway places.
I been in London 9 yrs and have never been to the firework display. I know others who have and from feedback info is to wrap up really warm, get there early which could be early as 8ish. Long wait. I watch it on the box.

i went last year. after 11 years in london i wanted it out of the way. stood on blackfriars bridge, shivering for an hour. it was horrific. couldnt get near waterloo or wherever they blast them off from, but you dont need to really as they go up
Unless you've got a party to go to, don't bother. Or if you want to you can stand on my roof where you will get a good view of the fireworks. Approximate cost will be £500.
