I'm not sure of his natural position , to me he seems like he wants to play everywhere , one minute he's a defender next centre forward. If he leaves Utd , be welcome at Chelsea , class act imo ..
*searches frantically for a hidden 'chelsea related fishing rod in thread...........
down to opinion Tone but think he the Nani thing probably saved it from looking a great decision as I think Utd would have gone through had 11 stayed on. As for Rooney, certainly capable of moments of brilliance and is a grafter but I'd hazard a guess that the beginning of the end started 2-3 years ago during that contract saga. Fergie ain't one to forgive and forget. Ultimate humiliation now that the team who Rooney questioned the ambition off....he's now not good enough to get in to.
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
He's lost his way because of ferguson, played 2nd fiddle to Ronaldo and now to v Persie. His recent goal ratio is better than van Persie even tho playing as a link man. Think he needs to go somewhere where they need a striker who can play a bit outside box too, barca would be perfect. Will be a good deal for both Man U will get 20 mill and 250k a week off their wage bill. Rooney may get to play in his best position.
Looks totally pissed off doesn't he , utd screwed unless they buy someone to play alongside him. None of the pundits mention it but I reckon he has lost a yard of pace.
Be careful what you dream of it may come up and surprise you.
