Keane would be right up there for me too, but pound for pound Irwin and Schmeichal are great shouts. Amazing to think of some of the players Ferguson has bought through over the years. His record in the transfer market really is exceptional.

I'll raise you Veron
Yeah Veron was ultimately a flop but every manager in the world would have signed him at the time if they could. He just couldn't handle the pressure and has even admitted as much himself. I also think Keane put the fear of God into him as well
Fergie has had plenty of shockers over the years but then what manager hasn't? Go and have a look at how much Guardiola spunked away on shite at Barca in a short time.

Compare his record to any other team in Europe and it shows his eye for a player. Pretty sure I read in Fergie's time Utd spent the third or fourth amount on players in the Premiership
as a city fan, cant deny them the facts theyve won the league as they are the best team. Have to say the leagues getting poorer & poorer as proved by our club sides in europe. United fans said last year last seasons league was the worst.
have to say they bought the one man who won it for them this season, just hope now City win the fa cup so we have something to cheer about.
