That goal last night will take some beating for goal of the season. RVP watched it all the way and knew exactly where he were gonna put it, but as the commentator said, it were the pass from Rooney

I'm pretty sure I could knock a similar pass to Rooneys if I tried for a bit. I'm pretty sure I'd never strike it like RVP did if I tried for a month.
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."

I don't know about Ferguson but I wouldn't mind seeing the back of her in your avator.

Probably midfield
Been saying that for five years!
Although I reckon he's given up on Anderson, Scholes will hang 'em up and I'm not sure Fletcher will be back. Surely, surely he has to look at the midfield this summer
Incredible achievement , Chelsea / City & Arsenal all have won the title and pushed Utd , but still Fergal produces the goods .. Massive contribution by RVP , no chance him regretting leaving the Arse .. Hats off !

He's laughing really isn't he, he's won the title for united, both literally and in a longer term way, anyone else think he's fergies best ever signing (for a non-'young' player anyway) ?

It's the one criticism you could have with Fergie. Can't remember the last real world class midfielder he signed. Think if he'd signed someone like Modric,Wesley Sneider or the like Man Utd could possibly have won more European Cups. Last one would have been Veron he was class but didn't work out at Man Utd.
Well, I tell them there's no problem Only solutions

I think Schweinsteiger from Bayern would be superb for Utd, unfortunately for the Mancs there chances of him leaving seem to be pretty slim. He gets a lot of stick, but I think Michael Carrick is a really decent player.
20 titles would have been a classy way for SAF to retire IMO, mainly just wishful thinking though, I'd love to see a few more teams in with a chance next season.

I agree mate but Fergie put a lot of faith into Anderson maturing into a top class midfielder but alas that didn't happen. He's also lost Fletcher to unforeseen reasons as well. Hargreaves would have been a huge hit at United I believe but Bayern sold us a crock! Having said that, Fergie doesn't always seem to want to control games (in the Premiership at least) and much prefers to play with wingers on the counter. It works against the vasty majority of Premier league teams and is a proven tactic to win the league. It doesn't always work against better teams though and this is where United can sometimes fall short. Although you have to say United didn't do too badly against Real and the only difference was a couple of dodgy decisions

Tough call, Cantona?
Good shout. Could have a debate like that for ages, just add's credit to fergie's genius.
He's so smart its unreal, my uncle said to me ages back "name an african player fergie has signed" i stopped short at eric djemba djemba....You hear loads of clubs shitting themselves in january every other year regarding the loss of their main or most talented squad members, let me know when fergie has that worry.

Schmeichel is another contender.
Pound for pound you'll do better name a beter value signing than Cork's own Denis Irwin.
