I had ordered a Javis Nova Sport hybrid bike but it arrived damaged and they never had a replacement so it had to go back and i was refunded.......tbh it was a bit of a blessing because i know the novelty would have worn off by now and id be picking up the car keys in the morning instead of taking the bike.......its a few miles to my work and its steady downhill for the most part on the way there but that means its all uphill on the way home which is the last thing i need after a 12hr shift....with this bike ill be able to get a bit of assistance on the hills......you still need to pedal for gods sake,,,it aint a scooter :-) .....theres varying levels of assistance or you can just turn the motor off if you like when your on the flat which is obviously what ill do......i went for this because i really want to start getting more exercise....im 40 and barely do any exercise other than a game of 5s every other week........ill use this a lot more than i would a conventional bike....ill save money on fuel aswell by leaving the car.....it wasnt cheap but got the lions share through the cycle scheme at work ......theres no point having a really nice bike if you cant be arsed knocking yer pan in to get up hills...it would just sit in the spare room....... It was a choice made purely for health reasons really....its a fucking lovely bit of kit actually.....top notch spec......there are much cheaper e-bikes available but theyre just shit bikes with an expensive battery....this is a good bike with an expensive battery haha ...... i predict you`ll be seeing a lot more of these kinda bikes on the roads ..... its a smart option imo.
I cycle to work on a daily basis and the road to work is mostly down hill, However, for obvious reasons, its mostly up hill going home. Anyway the first part of the return involves a bastard hill which is almost a mile long, its a case of head down and go for it. A couple of weeks a go a bird sailed past me effortlessly on a small wheeled bike, at the time I thought fuck me she's fit and gave chase.......no chance she were gone! A couple of days later she did it again, my heads gone now thinking, how the fucks she doing that, it weren't until she had to stop at a junction, whereby I caught her and noticed the battery back. We speak quite regularly now, everytime she passes me!!! Polish, nice bird anall.
