I agree I also believe that they have killed him and I am glad they did, but I reckon they could easily fake it if they wanted too. The american government is historically the biggest and most succesful terror organization in the world and they've covered up loads of shit over the years.
can't disagree with that....they are one dirty nation (conspiracy wise), cover ups to cover cover ups. Would hate to work for the CIA, wouldn't want to end up finding out things i shouldn't. chances are i'd end up with Osama in the drink....
True mate. Have taken quite an interest in South America, and the things America (cia etc) have done down there in countries like Chile is as bad or even worse than what they've done to the arab world.

Whether meant serious or as "humour".... Oh dear.
What do you mean why ? what a pathetic comment to add in the thread, you wanted a rise "obviously" and you got one, just utter drivel, even down to your choice of words, be it your attempt at humour or in whatever form it was meant, it is poor taste... a bit like the records from your avatar.

"Why" meant that an explanation was required.
I didn't want a rise at all. A few rised anyway, because they are a little over-sensitive perhaps. It was a tongue-in-cheek, light-hearted comment, no need for anyone to get upset.
The records from my avatar are poor taste? That doesn't really make sense, does it.
As much as it will give closure to those who were affected by the 9/11 attacks I don't see how this will really have any effect on al queda. It's not an organisation like the provisional ira where they had a top down structure so killing the head could bring about a cessation of hostilities for a period of time until a new organisation structure was arranged. They are a loose affiliation of extremists with similar goals and separate cells that operate independently from each other. The killing of bin laden is not going to stop them and if anything he was just the figurehead or spokesman. As an aside the scenes of Americans celebrating in the way they did directly reminded me of the scenes in the middle east of Arabs burning effigies of George bush and American flags. This is not a great victory IMO but merely a pin prick in an organisation that has many more disaffected "martyrs"!ready to die for the cause they believe in. I mean how effective could a seriously I'll most wanted man in the world have been at organising anything anymore with the wests capabilities to monitor most forms of communications? I would reckon it would be pretty limited.

You are right coopy but then again I've not heard anyone saying it will affect Al-qaeda in so much as it being able to operate as an organization. It is purely a symbolic victory for many thousands of people affected by what this scumbag got up to. Lets face it, the London bombers had no dealings with Bin Laden whatsoever and yet they come under the umbrella of Al-qaeda.

More just airing my own thoughts on the situation and how I saw it and the effect it would have on our security in the western world.

aye,, im sure i read that the name Al-qaeda was made up at the start to put all these nut jobs into the same file
IF YOU WANT A PICTURE OF THE FUTURE, IMAGINE A BOOT STAMPING ON A HUMAN FACE ---FOREVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At least it sends a message to these cowardly cunts that no matter how long it takes you will get it in the end. I hope they made the cunt get on his knees before putting the bullet straight in his face, then fed the bastard to the sharks. Anyone who's been to ground zero will know what it means to the Americans to bump bin laden off whether it affects al-qeada or not.
what shocked me was bin laden was still alive! I thought he died of kidney failure years ago in some cave. Another thing, why no photo of the corpse, surely thet are setting concipracy claims. ive read many Muslims aying there is n reason for burial at sea.I note the yanks say they didnt wnt his grave to be a memorial which is true but durely detailed video and ics of his corpse who go a long way to stopping talk of conspiracy.
i dont doubt they killed him or he would just pop and make a fool of them! But i think there is something there that stopped them showing his dead body
when you look a saddam they showed his whole hanging etc.. so why not the same here. surely the Americans[New Yorers] in particular would want to see he is dead and have the benefit of seeing his dead body, especially the reletives from 9/11. All a bit strange for me
also he was just a figure head and no significant mover in attacks against the west. i understand he was wealthy and 15 years ago his cash aided trainig etc...but he dint orchartate the 9/11 attacks, athough he claimed too, the FBI pinned that on some other bloke. good ridance though!
I've just said on a different forum I have 0 doubt that he is dead but the only conspiracy I could even think of entertaining is that the yanks have solid conclusive proof that he has died of natural causes and has been buried in some mountain pass and they now claim this as they killed him> Even this I find exceedingly hard to believe.

"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that"

I've no doubt that the Americans will show pictures and maybe even video of his sea burial in good time. Don't forget, Obama is in charge here, not some raving lunatic who thinks he is in a cowboy film. He will do things the correct way and not pose in front of a ludicrous banner telling everyone that it is 'Mission accomplished'. All in good time.
Good fucking riddance to the lowlife cunt. Hopefully they burned his beard off before blowing his head off.
Will his death do anything to dent Al-Qaeda ? Think he was much more of a figurehead than a 'Chief of Staff' (not that it works like that) and was the most recognizable figure in the Al-Qaeda movement more than anything. Of course the security level is heightened for a period due to this, but it wouldnt be the cause of some head banger deciding to blow up a bus queue. If someone's going to do that for 'a cause' they're going to do that at some point.
Usama supporters protesting at the US embassy in London today. Shouldve shot the fuckers
Why? Thats one of the cornerstones of our society. The right to protest and free speech. Just because we don't agree does not mean people should not be allowed to voice their opinions in a peaceful manner.
