I had the chance of a Mk1 Rally spec RS back in the day, right beast of a motor it were. But she moaned about not being able to get anyone in the back, due to the roll cage. One of my many regrets in life.
Zitat von mattlcfcMk 1 ,1 ltr corsa is about the cheapest to insure atm , i sold stacks last year to new drivers , as modern as u can expect to insure atm
My first car was a little red and yellow number. It didn't have any windows and the engine was pathetic. Can't remember what it was called but I do remember it was plasticky as fuck.
EDIT: found a pic of the bad boy:
I'm not really sure of all this pressure, I'm never gonna lose any of my old letters, 'Cause they'll stay with me, Until I can see that I'm no one
I agree. F*ckin' loved them. I used to covet a (highly modfied) silver Escort Harrier MK11 that used to be owned by a bloke in Bearwood.
I had a Renault 5 before getting an ex-demo Escort RS Turbo when I was 20 ( After 21 years I can still remember the reg - F107 HEA.). Loved it at the time. Which subsequently got nicked and stripped. I found out who arranged for it to be nicked, how they took it and were it was stripped down. Went on to various BMW's and Audi's. Cars now hold no interest to me whatsoever.
Mk 2 Escort , on a YTS at the time as a mechanic so it ended up with the 1.3 lump swapped for a 1.6gt and forest arch's with all the usual boy racer stuff Buckets, alloy's and big bore... Then some fucker robbed it....
Zitat von GelseHaha, I bet you looked ace in the KA mate.
Think you should splash out on one of these to really impress the ladies -
fook all wrong with a ford KA.....passed my test last year...not got my own as i dont really need one, and running one car is expensive enough, so i potter about in her KA, not very cool ....but, ideal car for finding your feet in, and building up your no claims

I'll hopefully be passing my test within the next few months. Going to go with Co-op insurance as it's a bargain. For a standard late 90's Corsa it's around £1200 as the main driver for me. You do have to have a box fitted which monitors your driving and potentially gives you discounts accordingly. Obviously it works the other way if you drive poorly.
Personally I think that's worth it for now considering some are paying 1800 just to be a named driver on a shit car.
