can't beat winning against Hearts, unfortunately been a little while since its happened but so it goes. Edinburgh isn't a football city in the same sense as Liverpool or Manchester but there's still a sense of tension around the match. Not been too many fun and games before/after in a few years - Hearts don't travel and don't drink in the city center after the game (that goes for their scarfers too).
Went to Millwall West Ham a week or so back - bit of an anticlimax to be honest, some poor football and a mediocre atmosphere. In terms of derbys I'd like to visit as a neutral the only one that comes to mind is the Steel City derby, remember Irvine Welsh writing about how it was the only city derby he felt had the same feeling as Edinburgh's

old rent-a-quote and his qualifications to write about Sheffield are....
As I've said before, the atmosphere at the Sheffield derby is electric. In 2 weeks 30k will pack into Beautiful Down Town Bramall Lane for a league game in the third fucking tier. In the city that invented the game. You certainly won't find fans sitting in each others stands like on Merseyside.
I'm yet to go to any games in Italy, but I know whoever goes always raves about the atmosphere. A mate went to Barca v Athletico last weekend. Said the crowd was unreal
