You up there tomorrow Ross or just up for the day? Got a spare ticket for tomorrow if anyone is interested
great day out friday, bar the carry on with the bars later on, enjoyed all the support acts. the roses were spot on, glad theyve proved a few people wrong. got there and back no bother, £10 taxi from digs next to MEN arena, walked about 10mins afterwards and just flagged a taxi down on the main road, £10 again back to victoria station, couldnt be arsed waiting for a space on the shuttle buses. enjoy your day anyone going today.
Possibly the best day/night of my life so far, and i've had a few good'uns!!
The sound, production, Ian... Everything spot on. Holly cook is great, Wailers were great... Liam sand Whats the Story and Rock and Roll star. Was Old lads and young dancing together all happy. Never see anything like that again i think. They all looked genuinely over the moon at the end, proper happy. Nice end with Bob Marley - Redemption song when they left and a firework display. If you can get there quick enough, go... Now.
Fools Gold was a bit special! Great night. Thought the band grew into the set the longer it went on, sounded a bit shakey at the start untill around Fools Gold/Waterfall. All came together then.
Not that it really matters but fucking poor organisation of the event, queued an hour for a drink, ridiculous. Beady Eye were woeful as well.
superb gig all round, as said the sound and IBs voice were spot on, good to hear liam do a couple of oasis tunes although the rest of there stuff passed me by really, getting back to town was a ball ache but luckily i was off me rocker, some taxis askin £70 fuckin idiots, hotel bar was open til 3 so sat in there til 4.30 the carried on in the room, overall was a top day/night, has a good crack all afternoon in tib street/NQ area, all the boozers were rammed, good atmosphere..
Friday night Fools gold was on for 11:36 secs , sad I know but I knew they would show off their talents with this one and fuck me.......they broke it , smashed it , topped it from any other live performance I've ever heard .

Oh, and any youngish scouse lads on here that went to Drink in the Three Barrels before hand? Was there for about 5 mins before one of them (All dressed good) complimented my jacket. Just wondering if it is anyone on here, to put a face to a name.
Was a fantastic gig last night. As has been said Ian Brown sounds so much better with the Stone Roses than on his solo live gigs. Waterfall was brilliant as was Sally Cinnamon. The venue was a bit crap but an excellent experience. Plan B was shite for the support act, I don't think a single person clapped him off.

Nope, must have been some other dapper bastard I'm afraid... Cough cough.
Sorry Hanks/Donny, phone signal went to shit in there after I was first on phone to you. Only realised afterwards I had a voicemail in your weird Yorkshire twang....
