I was in Manchester over the weekend, so decided to take in the City game on saturday with a friend. Seen countless examples of cuntish behaviour from the Police and Stewards over the years, but this was well up there. The whole section was standing up and they go and victimise and pick on the most defenceless looking old guy. Utter despicale cunts of the highest order. I also saw a steward (showsec) punch a guy on the back of the head for no reason whatsoever, meant to be ensuring crowd safety? Thing is, they know they will get away with it as people know that if they react they will end up behind bars.
Wonder if all the "just doing their job" brigade will have anything to say about yet another example of why ACAB?
Stewards down are place are a load of shitheads in the majority , chucked my fatherinlaw out for swearing last season , seen them in the pub after so we kicked them out the pub , its the way they do the job , we pay there wages in a roundabout way and they roll over mobhanded and drag you out, its the footy not the zoo, im sure if they tried more subtle ways they might get a better responce , i have been asked to leave at sheffield few years ago for drinking a tin of beer , the fella was on his own and polite and explained the situat, ion , we where getting slaughtered on the pitch so i decided to take up his offer of leaving early and keep my beer , done in an adult way .

Isn't that the section next to the away fans where when United play there everyone stands and sings Munich and does airplane impressions. Fuck em.
Apparently the stewards at the council house have been ordered to pick out a random single or couple who stand and eject them as an example to others what will happen to them if they persistantly stand.

Fair play to the stewards i say. If i'd paid good money to sit and watch a decent game of football i wouldn't want some mardy old cunt standing up infront of me and ruining my day out.

I'd be a cunt if I had to take half the shit they take. Supporters feel like they have the right to treat them shit and can't take it when they dish it back.
Our stewards are sound at Cardiff. Never seem to be any issues and away fans always seem to rave about how well they were treated by them.
No one should be told to sit down at a football match in the first place, unless perhaps in the family section. They were using the old "health and safety" chestnut! I don't quite understand why standing up is a greater threat to health and safety than sitting down?! Surely sitting down is just as dangerous, if not more so... Anyway, why is it not a danger to health and safety before the game, for 15 minutes in between and at full time? It is just dangerous for 45 minutes, then it goes away, then it's back for another 45, then the danger has passed. Strange. And if they insist on implementing such a ridiculous rule, why pick on the one section? The away fans and the two next sections were all standing after all. Modern football is pony.

Fair point , i believe it was due to some fella in a suit who had possibly never gone football decided after a tradgedy it would be safer and easier to count the numbers incase of overcrowding , some report years ago iirc

why would anyone pay for a seat and choose to stand? apart from those tiresome try-hards who follow manchester united.
Why anyone would become a steward is beyond me. File with those pretend police (community support) and specials (if they still have them) in the utter cunts drawer.

for most it isnt a full time job. a lot are students or people who cant work full time. clearly the ones in the video are nobs. cant be easy dealing with a load of bellends who think they're it though. not really worth it for the £50 or whatever they get

There's plenty of other things they could be doing on a part time basis that doesn't involve them acting like little fucking hitlers though isn't there?
I knew a few stewards in the 80s at Chelsea and they were ok, but it was a different era then. They opened the gates at a few games so we could get on the pitch and were our first line of defence when Boro tried to get on the pitch.

I always remember being at the Chels v Leeds game in the 80s, when the scoreboard was smashed up(I think Chelsea were promoted that day). The stewards were giving out their bibs to some of the Chelsea lads who invaded the pitch
