If you think calling a Scottish person a 'jock' is the same as calling a black person a 'nigger' then I can understand why you are confused. Things move on in the world and there is no place for racism of any kind whether it be in life or on a football pitch. We used to burn and drown women that were suspected of being witches but thankfully we moved on from that too.
