Quote by wadeyChelsea havnt been right since Ray Wilkins went....they should go British for the next manager...and get back to basics...ive only seen them on the box but from what i have seen there are too many strolling through games without a care, and too many at the wrong end of their carriers (and good young uns will beat good old uns over a season!) and the centre half with the big barnet..fook me, he is garbage.......seems to be no pride or passion, well thats how it appears to me as an outsider looking in....on a brighter note Sturridge looks a good player!
STrange you say that T as the one I would have liked in the summer was moyes. And I think he'd do a great job. LUiz with the barnet is never a centre half. GOod footballer, not a defender. It's obvious some are just not playing for him. No pride or passion is right. IF you'd seen how easy they rolled over v everton it was a disgrace. No bottle for the fight.

seems the players have no faith in AVB and dont rate him , Lamps continually dropped , Mereiles never misses a game yet is clearly shit , cant get fuck all out of Torres , plays many out of position , Cahill had a run in with him , style of play and results speak volumes ..
Quote by VasqueDo any of the Chelsea lads on here think there is a serious problem in the dressing room? Something is not right and it's not just the manager IMO.
YOu're spot on mate. The journo on sky on Sunday who's got close ties with us (not beasley but Paul .....something) said he knew senior players didn't like AVB, it was filtering through to the younger players and notably, torres was getting increasingly isolated in the dressing room with some not liking him, jealous of his wages, not impressed with what he's producing, etc...so all in all, a mess. I do feel sorry to some degree for AVB although he don't help himself at times. BUt ray Wilkins said this mornin AVB was physically shaking in the dugout last weekend. DON'T like to see that happen.

Interesting stuff mate. Some very big egos in that dressing room, same as any other successful team, and it must be hard for such a young inexperienced chap to deal with. No I'm not comfortable knowing he is shaking with stress, pressure or fear. Funnily enough a few shots of him tonight on the touchline and he didn't look as confident as I have seen him.
Aye its made worse because he was there before as basically a scout. Now he's manager 5 years later....I don't blame him. I blame those who appointed him. Too much, too soon for the lad. HOpe it doesn't damage him longer term though.

This thread really brings a smile to my face, we're on 3 pages now and it's about a manager who may get the sack. Mick McCarthy who, though it pains me to say did a magnificent job at Wolves for almost 6 years with very little rewards gets fucked off and he hardly gets a mention. I'm not aiming this solely at the Chelsea lads, but also some of the followers of the bigger clubs it ain't your God given right to win every game and trophy just because you've paid for it, we ain't playing Fantasy football. Try following some of the lower clubs you probably look down your nose at, Managers, players and supporters, real supporters who give their all week in week out and treat all games as if it were a Cup Final.
think you're reading it all wrong .. most Chelsea here followed then , old third division , when we were totally shit , 10,000 on a Saturday , and expected to lose ... But when big money gets invested , big name players arrive - Trophies come , and expectations go above the roof .. I dont look down my nose at any club , I know exactly where I came from ... as for real supporters ? how about paying £50 each , for you and your son , to then watch £150,000 a week players give nothing , when I've grafted and spent a fortune going to watch them , think that entitles me to a moan , dont you ??
Yes, you are quite within your rights to moan, but just because you pay 50 quid to watch 'em play and your club throws silly money at over-rated has beens or never quite made its doesn't entitle you to win every game. You have had some of the best managers in the world at your club, all have tried and failed, stop blaming the managers. Once those over paid prima donnas cross that line its up to them to produce, and they ain't, they are failing miserably.

Tone, not sure what you're on about mate. try following some of the lower clubs? "real Supporters" WTF. We were in Div 2 half the 80's mate. Nearly went out to the old third division, nearly lost the ground. As Steve said, I've seen us at low points believe me. I think you're out of order with the "real" supporter statement. We know both sides of the coin full well (in fact, better than anyone perhaps bar City given the other top 4 sides have been top 4 in my living memory bar Utds blip in the 70s.) How many clubs know both sides, eh? I'm certainly not gonna apologise because we were lucky enough to land the 'Russian Wonka bar. It's a double edged sword grant it but I'd never have seen us win the league or contest the CL a number of times otherwise. That's modern football. And I don't look down my nose at any clubs. In fact, quite the contrary. Each club has it's own history (which is why I find the song aimed at us laughable as if you ain't won the CL so you've no history. Not my view by any stretch. You think I don't have respect for Big Rons era at Albion? If that's your view, your badly mistaken). As for the real supporters, not sure I follow? maybe if you'd a spell of 10 years in the top 4 you'd find you too would suddenly have a load of "new mates" at the match every week, particularly when you're based in one of the most fashionable cities in the world But does that mean the real supporters don't exist? as for the the players in the PL, they are by and large overpaid egomaniacs with zero loyalty. But that's not limited to the top 4 by any means. and with regards to Wolves, maybe if the expectations were different and McCarthy had a team worth half a billion then it would have attracted more attention. Who knows. We attract the press for a number of reasons but mainly because we're one of the richest clubs about with one of the richest owners. That's life. And we post about Chels on here the same way anyones free to post about their clubs. I think you're badly wrong on this Tone.

If you read through my post Glenn, i did say its not aimed solely at Chelsea lads. Its aimed at the 'supporters' who have jumped on the 'lets follow a big club' because its fashionable brigade. As i said in my post just because yours or any club throws bagfulls of cash about it will not guarantee you instant success, you have to work at it.
i think chelsea supporters, especially given the unbelievable prices as mentioned above, are entitled to be unhappy at whats happening. on and off the pitch. the manager thing seems like a swankier version of what happened at charlton once curbishley left. too many in quick succession, and theyre left like a desperate gambler chasing their losses. the thing for chelsea is someone needs to rebuild that team and quickly because the problems seem to run right through the middle, except the keeper.

I know it wasn't solely aimed at us but it includes us. we don't like th JCL's anymore than you, mate. It's cringeworthy at SB at times because of it - and the other top 4 are the same it seems, at home anyways. But that's a price of the success - in the PL anyways. We're not moaning because we're not winning the league because we've spent money. We're moaning because the managerial appointment was wrong from day one. We're moaning because well regarded, high earning players are playign nowhere near their potential. We're moaning because theirs a bad lack of cohesion and togetherness. None of these things are specific to money, mate. I don't like lurching from one manager to another but this appointment was all wrong. The heirarchy at the club have a large responsibility in this as do the players also. but lets be honest mate, if yous had conceded those goals last night - YOU would be moaning FFS!!

I see youv've chilled from your previous post, Jesus Christ you were begining to sound like a Man U/Liverpool fan. Everthing about your club is wrong mate, from the board room, to the players. Abramovic feels quite rigtly so, with all the money he's spunked he should be up there with the likes of Barcelona. He ain't gonna do it if he keep sticking his nose in. Chelsea need a massive clear out, i know your gonna bite.....again, but the likes of Drogba, Torres, Lampard, Terry and Cole have to go if the club is to succeed. And stop blaming the manager/s.
Every football fan in every ground has the right to main and slag any player who isnt giving his all in my humble opinion. Part and parcel of it.
AvB looks more and more out of his depth, I thought he looked pretty drawn yesterday and was very surprised at the line up he put out. He obviously has a problem with Lampard or doesnt rate him, either of which is backfiring on him badly. Luiz never is and never will be a proper centre half, his positioning is terrible. He comes across as someone who can't believe he's getting away with being picked each week.
Was AvB Chelsea's first choice ? Just wondering if any of the more 'senior' managers could see the writing was on the wall.
Quote by get the beer in Once those over paid prima donnas cross that line its up to them to produce, and they ain't, they are failing miserably.
so who is it down to , to motivate these players ? , get the best out of them , pick the correct team of players in form , armed with the right tactics doing the homework on their opponent knowing their strengths and weaknesses ?
I agree how daft it has been with Chelsea concerning managers , it's as if Abramovich expects the CL for the money he's put in , and is ruthless when he doesn't get his way .
Though as a supporter , I dont expect to win every game , I do expect the team to go on the pitch and give their all , and if I can see from my armchair Malouda / Mereiles / Mikel are fuckin rubbish and provide nothing , they I'll question the manager's choice in picking them , and will critisize his incompetance ...
I'll blame the manager. He's a fucking chancer who's been found out big time. He needs to be gone, sharpish.
As for the players, they may be getting on, but they are still all established internationals who should be doing better. Unfortunately the succession of managers have made a gradual transition (like the way ferguson does at man U) a real problem and we are now at the stage where we need to bring in quite a few new players and get rid of some shit ones. Terry, Lampard and Cole are not the problem players and still have a biug role to play for us over the next few seasons. I'll give you a list of the shit ones. Hilario Bosingwa Mereiles Malouda Mikel Torres Kalou Torres

All need putting down.
Torres, so shit i named him twice.............
Only twice! With all due respect M, how many of those players did AVB sign? At the end of the day you can't nip down to the local Donkey Sanctuary, round up a few Donkey's, train 'em up to expect 'em to win the Grand National. The Club needs some sort of stability and Abramovic needs to stop playing with his toys and leave it to the professionals.
Eye's right, skin back tight, bollocks to the front, we're the boy's who make more noise when we're on the cunt, we're the riders of the night, and we'd rather fuck than fight, we're the riders of the Clock end Highbury

sound like a Liverpool fan fucksake T, how many insults in one day are you planning????? yep, the running of the club has been poor in recent times. Forget on the pitch, the whole ground fiasco is a good enough example. I agree Abramovich needs to stop interfering. Like I said, the appointment was wrong from day one. So what do you do - stay with it? why? it's not going to improve. This lad is no mourinho lets be clear so in 2 years we wont be anywhere near where the club expect to go so why prolong it? As for the players, Lampard and Terry can be our equivalent of Scholes, giggs, etc.... The reason Lampard has the hump is that he's a bit part player in a team with some of the biggest cunts in the league in it - MALOUDA AND BOSINGWA! He's watching Mereiles start before him. If he was a bit part player in a young up and coming side, I think he'd have little issue but sub in games like last night where mereles turns his back on the fella for the first goal....I understand why lampard is annoyed. The standard of player recruited since 2005 has by and large not matched those departing (I mean the non-marquee names). Where's the replacements for Robbin, Duff, Eider, Calvalho, Gallas, etc....the replacements haven't been good enough by and large.
Final point - it's all very well slamming Abramovich but he's put the thick end of a billion into the club. He's not leaching of it like some owners and he has high expectations. He obviously interfers when he shouldn't but that's probably down to how he's been able to generate and maintain enormous wealth - by intervening when he's saw fit. Without him, we'd never have had some of the times we've had in recent years and whilst, yes, that's meant a lot of JCLs appearing, for those of us who remember the bad ole times, it's the things that dreams are made off. When I'm on my death bed, I'll still have image of lampard rounding the keeper at Bolton to keep me company
