Owned loads of 80/90s hot hatches from mk1 xr2's to cossies but when you drive a new car you do appreciate the ride quality etc and not worrying about breaking down every 10 miles, had a couple of ep3 civic type R's aswell good value IMO fast reliable and don't cost the earth prefer them to the focus st by a mile
Sounds like you were buying the wrong ones, Fords.
My 205 GTI has not broken down on me yet. This was a time when French Cars were reliable and not full of silly Electrics.
Been their mate, 205 1.6 and 1.9 gti and the 309 gti put a mi16 engine in me 1.9 205 on carbs was a fast little motor built out of kit kat rappers but fast.... As I said had ALOT of hot hatches when I was younger, one of the perks of been a mechanic ment trade insurance so I bought a renault 5 turbo when I was 17 and just swaped and bought what I wanted even had a fiat uno turbo and a metro mg turbo not many people will admit to owning those haha.... Those 205,s rs turbos and so on are worth decent money now aswel I remember paying £500 for my r5 turbo......
