Like a few members on here i bet, arsenal were the best footballing side in this country when i was younger....Upsetting to see them in this predicament, but i blame that stadium (Its cost anyway) and the owners. The worlds biggest 'selling club'.

Haven't they paid off the cost of the stadium? Personally think it's because Wenger refuses to spend big even though they can afford to. I still like the idea that they won't pay silly money for players but unfortunately I'm beginning to see that that's just the way it goes these days.
think hes doing the right thing not paying over the odds for players when the bubble bursts on the premiership which it will do eventually they will be in a lot better position than the rest of the "top teams"
Tickles me when people eulogize Arsenal for how they manage their financial affairs. Is ripping the fans off and shutting outpricing the core support 'the right thing to do'?

Arsenal have the fourth highest wage bill in the league. Podolski is on over £100.000.
