We've decided to spend a week in Sardinia, staying at an apartment in Cagliari. The island looks absolutely stunning, and tourism shouldnt be too bad as most people head to corsica or sicily instead. Really looking forward to it. Used airbnb.com to find a place, its a great concept if you're looking for something different than the usual hotel/hostel.
The category of the prosumer commodity does not signify a democratization of the media towards participatory systems, but the total commodification of human creativity

I'll be honest, I didn't like Sardinia that much. Preferred Sicily.

Yes I've head that sicily is really unique, but ticket prices where about the double and I've heard that tourism is quite bad from june-september. What were the negatives at Sardinia?

We stayed in Alghero and it felt like a cheap Spanish resort (without being cheap). Had a good time but wasnt worth the money. Lots of rubbish restaurants and a big fun fair on the beach.
Thought Cagliari was disappointing too when we visited.
Might have just been when and where we went. The rest of the island could be amazing
