Must admit we've been looking for a few weeks but nothing confirmed yet, hoping to get a week in Vilamoura either mid May or back end of July. Can't wait to get Alfie on Ski's in a year or two once he's old enough as I actually prefer that to the sun.
Going to Berlin for a few weeks in April/May - ostensibly it's a research trip, but I'm planning on enjoying the city and taking a few days to relax and get thoroughly smashed.
Rest of the year is very much tbc at the moment. My bird's friend is getting married in September so I might be off to the States for that. I'd prefer to get a week or two in Croatia, but what can you do?
Long weekend in Genoa in April. Week in Bari and Brindisi in June. then hopefully a long weekend in Florence in September/October Viva l'Italia! me and the missus love Italy!
Dirty old river, must you keep rolling, Flowing into the night.......
Just booked a week in 5* Lodge down in Cornwall for later in the year. Been before...it's ace http://www.gwelanmor.com. Love the area, Cornish Ales, St Ives, Fowey, Fish and Chips, Pasties, Beach walks, Country Boozers etc Can't go abroad this year really as the little man's only just gone one.

What have we planned gents ( if anything ) ?
Was in vilamoura last June on mates stag do been a few times, some nice hotels and decent bars dotted around and just off marina. Might be going back end June for short break. Off to Cyprus Whitsun with girlfriend, then off to Brittany with my 2 kids for 2 weeks in August.
So far were going to mojacar (pronounced mahaker)main land Spain end of march ,been quite a few times ,love the place and the beach bars are simply stunning .Theres some great little bars and restaurants up in the mountains as well that we go to .We always pick a car up at airport as this gives you the best way to explore and the hotels about a 45 minute drive from airport ..

Lovely round the Marina isn't it. I remember going a good few years back and thought it was ok but I went on a lads golfing trip a couple of years ago and had a few nights round the marina and was impressed how much it had improved, Irish bar was a good crack from midnight onwards. The 3 of us went last Sept for my 40th and loved it so gonna go back again this May hopefully. Some nice restaurants there now, we are probably going to try the Crown Plaza this time as stayed at the Hilton last year which was great but 10-15 minutes out. Funnily enough Cyprus was the other option. Hopefully get something booked this weekend.

St. Ives holds a very special place in my heart , I came home from my third tour of Northern Ireland with a fucked up head , was in a real bad place at the time , not long been married , so we jumped in a hire car , drove to St . Ives and stayed in an old ladies house , she converted half of it for guest's , and half for herself , what a beautiful place .. not somewhere I think I could live , but if I could afford it I would love some form of holiday let there .. You can really feel something special there ..

We feel the same. The day we found out mrs manda was pregnant (after trying for some time) (was also our wedding anniversary) and we were in St Ives. There's a special quality of light there (so they say). Hence why it attracts so many artists. http://gary-shorthouse.hubpages.com/hub/...s-light-quality
If anyones thinking of going to the Caribbean or just looking for some advice drop me a PM and I'll put you onto a great deal, industry I work in. Would be more than happy to help.
Last real holiday I had was in a small mountain town in Romania called Sinaia, a truly amazing Autumn landscape when I visited. Few pictures, which of course don't do justice.
Got 2 hols in 3 mths at end of year so been trying to stay away from all the winter sales, going to paphos Cyprus in sept for my bro in laws wedding,38 going so should be a blinding trip then of to Canada, doing Banff and some touristy bits with the family n mum in tow so a great year for me just some saving to do....
After last years exploits, my only foreign trip will be a long weekend in Benidorme for one of the old footy lads 50th. Whilst I'm sure it'll be fun, I'm dreading it
Quite fancied Croatia this year. Dubrovnik is supposed to be immense. More likely have a week in North Norfolk in the summer
